I looked at tool and cutter grinders for a while now, as I knew at some point I would need such a machine in the workshop. After considering Clarkson and Alexander/Deckel models and the Quorn/Kennet kits, I settled on the Stent, which seemed ideal - it is bench mounted, relatively small, capable of sharpening most tools I am likely to encounter and best of all can also be used (to a limited extent) as a surface grinder. Even better I found someone selling a full kit for the Stent for just over half the normal price (probably an abandoned project), which I purchased on 13th September 2006 So here we are I have the kit, I'm a bit nervous about my ability to make it (as I am an engineering newbie at this point), but I am determined to have a go !
